Hans-Werner Honert

Hans-Werner Honert (* 1950 in Leipzig) is a German film director and producer. From 1971 to 1975 Honert studied at the Institute for Cinematography in Moscow (master class of Prof. B. Stolper). From 1976 to 1990 he was director of the German television broadcasting company (DFF) in the GDR. During this time he appeared as the author of radio plays, as well as various TV and cinema materials. From 1995 to 2012, Hans-Werner Honert was managing director and producer of Saxonia Media. During these 17 years, he led Saxonia Media to the largest Central German film production company. He also worked as a mentor at the Konrad Wolf University of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg. (Source: Wikipedia)
