Marijan Vajda

Marijan David Vajda (born September 28, 1950 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia) is a film and television director working in German-speaking countries. After graduating from high school in his hometown, Vajda studied directing at the Film and Television Institute of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, now known as the Vienna Film Academy, and literature and philosophy at the Sorbonne University in Paris. He worked as a production assistant for the Kirch group and from 1975 to 1988 as a director's assistant in over 40 international productions. From 1989 to 2009 he directed over 150 productions.
