The authentic 14-year (work) struggle of the American musician Abbie Conant against discrimination and for recognition and equality is portrayed on two levels, as a documentary and as a staged ironic comedy (Karin Ugowski as a lawyer). In 1980, hired as the first solo trombonist by a German orchestra after an anonymous prelude behind a curtain, she was demoted to a second trombone after a year without a warning. A committed documentary that tries to evaluate its case in its social and cultural-historical context.
