Dr. Sommerfeld - News from the Bülowbogen is the series successor of "Praxis Bülowbogen" Dr. Peter Sommerfeld has the practice of his colleague Dr. Brockmann acquired in Berlin. The authentic 14-year (work) struggle of the American musician Abbie Conant against discrimination and for recognition and equality is portrayed on two levels, as a documentary and as a staged ironic comedy (Karin Ugowski as a lawyer). In 1980, hired as the first solo trombonist by a German orchestra after an anonymous prelude behind a curtain, she was demoted to a second trombone after a year without a warning. A committed documentary that tries to evaluate its case in its social and cultural-historical context.

"Practice at the Bülowbogen" is the title of a popular evening series,  which was broadcast from 1987 to 1996 and includes 107 episodes. The focus of the series is the practice of the doctor Dr. Peter Brockmann (Günter Pfitzmann). The practice is located near the Bülow Arch. In addition to the many everyday problems of his patients, Brockmann has to deal with his difficult family and master his relationship problems, especially with his medical assistant. 

On the one hand, the series describes the everyday work of judge Petra Selig. In each episode she is faced with a new legal case. The judge is also a single mother to a young daughter. Wanted and found is a consequence of the series "Acting" which ran from 1978 to 1990. Here actors show off their acting skills and slip convincingly into several roles.
