Secret operations unit "Spree" was the sequel to the scout films “Secret operations unit Boomerang” (1966) and “Secret operations unit Ciupaga” (1967). In the spring of 1945 it was definitive: the final defeat of fascist Germany was inevitable, only a few weeks left, then the Hitler regime would be history.
Georg Brecher (Armin Mueller-Stahl), a 34-year-old journalist with ambitions as a writer, leads a young woman named Karin (Karin Ugowski) through the Pergamon Museum. Afterwards they both spend the night at Brecher, but split up again the day after. Brecher is a person who lives into the day and is in debt, but drives an American Chevrolet. When he tries to pump his father, a dentist, for money to pay debts to his housekeeper, who he affords, he refuses. Even Krümel, a friend in the editorial office of a newspaper for which he sometimes works, can only lend him 100 marks.
The film “Trick 17 b” was the DFF's attempt to dramatize events from the everyday life of the German Bundeswehr using artistic means. The main reason for this was the fact that the ranger training in the United States was to be introduced in this army. The fact that this was accompanied by a process of brutalization and the number of crimes among members of the Bundeswehr, primarily among officers, should be addressed here. The film begins with a few scenes about a German Bundeswehr recruit named Klaus Menzel (Karl-Dieter Henker).
Frank Seeburg (Stanislaw Zaczyk), a successful writer, is called to the bedside of his former schoolmate, journalist Volker Rochmann (Horst Drinda), in one night. He was seriously injured in an accident on the highway and hands his old friend a key to a locker in which Rochmann's notes are found. Seeburg is shocked because Rossmann worked on the investigation of three murders disguised as suicide. Is there a connection between the three murders and was his serious accident possibly an attack on him?
The young management team Uli Merkel receives an explosive order from the general management of his company: he is supposed to get back the lost technology designs of his predecessor Heiner Rudolf. The fact that this is an order to steal intellectual property does not initially bother Uli, after all he expects success from a variety of career opportunities and the implementation of his own ideas. However, things develop differently. After his designs and suggestions were rejected, Heiner retired to the island of Rügen.
The old professor Bunzberger sits on a park bench and lets his imagination roam. He is kidnapped by two pensioners in a veteran's home and is prompted to put the finishing touches on a time machine designed by the elderly. First he refuses to take part in the experiment for ethical reasons. He discusses with a kidnapped colleague and friend about the meaning of life and the consequences that stopping aging can have. Finally he gives in and can be rejuvenated with the machine. But he is not satisfied with the result because the rejuvenation has only taken place externally.
A beautiful, but spoiled and shallow princess rudely criticizes all her suitors because she is too proud. She is impressed with the last one, but her pride will not let her accept him. He is a young king with such a thick beard, that to her it looks like a thrush's beak, so she cruelly dubs him King Thrushbeard. He leaves in anger. Her father, exasperated and angry at how she scorned them all, vows that the first man who comes to the palace the next day will become her husband. Meanwhile, an unknown stranger overhears the conversation.
Klaus lives with his two brothers Kunz and Franz in a little village. Together, they ply their trade as cobblers in a small workshop. But the workload rests mainly on the shoulders of ill-treated Klaus. When Kunz and Franz go off into the forest to chop wood for fuel they run into an old woman who asks them for some wine and bread. Rudely and gruffly, they refuse her request and return home without any wood. Klaus then has to set out and he meets the old woman as well. He gladly offers her his frugal meal which is suddenly turned into pancakes and good wine.
